Pure, Mg-doped and Co-doped ZnO nanostructures were grown by atmospheric pressure metal-organic chemical vapor deposition. The influence of magnesium cobalt contained in on microstructure, cytotoxicity, virucidal antibacterial activities under non-irradiated conditions was investigated. incorporation Mg Co impurities into the crystal lattice modifies their electronic structure, surface morphology, concentration point defects, which have some biological activity prepared nanostructures. addition to did not inhibit reproduction type 2 adenovirus, but an increased action for Mg- against influenza A (H1N1) virus (strain FM/1/47) observed. titer reduced 1.92 lg At same time, showed best results: reduction 3.57 ZnO-Co (10 wt%) 3.14 (5 wt%), indicating good action. All tested exhibited toxicity towards E. coli cells.
